Startling Breast Cancer Facts
The heartrending cost in human life is staggering. In America alone, one person receives a diagnosis of breast cancer every 2 1/2 minutes, while every 12 minutes someone loses his or her battle against this disease. Breast cancer is no respecter of age or gender, estimates show that more than 200,000 women and 1,700 men will develop breast cancer this year. Although breast cancer is the number two cancer killer of older women, it is the number one cancer killer of women between the ages of 15 and 54, leaving thousands of young children without their mothers and young husbands to cope alone.
Our Company
The idea is to host parties/events at local bars, clubs, golf courses, etc... featuring the “Pour Gals”, a collection of attractive, friendly, experienced bartenders acting as guest bartenders and hostesses at each location. Also, we will establish a membership site for bartenders and establishments to donate a membership fee to be a part of BARTENDERS AGAINST BREAST CANCER™. This site will also include sales of logo products.
We are not a non-profit. We will incorporate a great cause and a great business. 10% of all product sales will be donated. Each individual event has the option to choose a recipient or donate to our sponsor cause. 100% of monies raised through tips, raffles, pledge cards, VIP passes and shot sales will be donated.
Goals
As I establish this company, and earn a positive reputation, I plan to add and advance. As a 2 year goal, I hope to add the additional option of local celebrity guest bartenders. This would increase the company earnings and donations. As a 3 year goal, I plan to make this a national business. Through hard work, I feel this business will grow. The addition of divisions in other areas of the country is the final stepping stone goal.
Launch Parties
My goal is to get everything up and running by September 1, 2010. Aside from the general business, I will be “hitting the streets” to local bars, clubs, restaurants, etc... I will be meeting with owners to solicit locations to host their own events as well as inviting them to attend our Launch Parties to see what we are all about.
I plan to host 2 launch parties, expected date to be early October. Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One at a smaller local bar. This will show smaller locations they are equipped to host events. The other party will be a larger scale, hopefully at a South Side or Strip District location. I plan to also solicit local news media to cover the Launch Parties.
"Pink Carpet" Party
The incentive for local establishments to host an event is assisting a great cause while enjoying the perks of great advertising.
Local businesses, bars and clubs primarily, can host a party. Guest bartenders - Pour Gals™, shot servers, give-away items, decorations, signage, print and radio advertising, photograpy, DJ or band, and much more are included in the cost of hosting an event. There will be different event levels to ensure all sizes of establishments can choose a party to suit there needs.
BARTENDERS AGAINST BREAST CANCER™ on the Web
The site will incorporate business advertising, membership registration, "Pink Carpet" party information, event photos available for downlaod, and logo item sales.
Individuals can register and receive their member package. Establishments can register as a sponsor, be listed on our sponsor page, and receive a sponsor package.
